Mine signage products available from Jason SignMakers incorporate 3M leading edge reflective technology allowing maximum visibility and quality-built design to withstand harsh environmental conditions.

Reflective mine signs incorporate 3M Diamond Grade DG3 full-cube reflective sheeting with full-cube prismatic optics, a breakthrough development in optic technology to deliver better visibility performance with wider viewing angles and longer distance viewing compared to conventional cube-corner optics.

Standard Compliance

The Jason SignMakers range of mine signage is made from 3M reflective sheeting, available in Class 1 (C1) and Class 2 (C2). Both grade of reflective sheeting is compliant to AS/NZS 1906.1.

Manufactured mine signs also comply with Australian Standard 1319, taking into consideration the environment, lighting and viewing distance. These factors will also determine the size of the mine signs required to suit the application.

Strength to Last

Mine signs are manufactured from a range of materials designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions and provide high visibility. These materials include polypropylene, Colorbond steel and retro reflective covered aluminium and steel.

Polypropylene

Polypropylene material is highly recommended for outdoor mine signage. It is UV stabilised and resists fading and cracking outdoors for three to five years. Polypropylene is non-toxic and is conforming to AS 2070. Enduring temperatures of -40°C to 160°C, polypropylene is fully recyclable and is an environmentally responsible alternative to PVC.

Jason SignMakers' poly signs, from Brady, are manufactured from at least 70 per cent recycled material, which uses 97 per cent less energy to make - resulting in lower carbon emissions.

Self-Adhesive Polypropylene

These mine signs are standard polypropylene with an adhesive backing. An industrial grade pressure sensitive adhesive backing is applied to allow easy installation of signs by adhering to most flat, clean and dry surfaces in interior and protected exterior situations.

It has a good temperature rating of up to 100ºC with excellent initial tack and long-term adhesion properties.

Colorbond Steel (Metal)

The metal substrate is constructed from Bluescope Colorbond™ Steel and is guaranteed to withstand temperatures of -40ºC to 80ºC and have an outdoor lifetime of five to eight years. The material complies with steel manufacturing standards AS/NZS 1365 and AS 1397.

The 0.6mm thick material holds up well in windy conditions and is well suited to the outdoors.

Retro-Reflective Aluminium and Steel

Retro-reflective options are available in Colorbond Steel or Aluminium. Aluminium is manufactured to comply to AS/NZS 1734 and is ideal for use where resistance to corrosion and strength are a necessity. Colorbond Steel is manufactured in accordance with AS/NZS 1365 and AS 1397 and one of the more robust mine signage materials, perfect for outdoor use.

Reflective mine signs are manufactured with 3M retro-reflective material which meets AS/NZS 1906.1, available in Class 1 and Class 2 options. Class 1 is the brightest, most durable retro-reflective material available.
